In 1920, the Corcoran brothers, Charles and Michael, were arrested for thefts of automobiles. The trial, however, kept getting delayed before of court issues.

In 1922, they were officially jailed for 2 years and sent to the Eastern State Penitentiary. Charles had already served time before the trial even finished because after his initial arrest, he had been charged with trying to illegally transport liquor into Canada.

Christina died in 1923 of stomach carcinoma and the house was sold in 1925 by a Beatrice Z. Alexander to Helen Irvine Kennedy for $18,000.
